Bala Town
Bala has the largest natural lake in Wales and all the facilities and services you need for a great holiday. The town supermarket opens long hours, there are cash
machines in town, a leisure centre with indoor pool, plus the lake with instructed watersports and canoe hire.
There are a number of good places to each locally and within a short drive.
In town Awel yr Aran on the High Street is a contemporary restaurant, the Express Pizzaria in Berwyn Street serves up tasty pizza and pasta. The White Lion Hotel has a busy bar and a good restaurant. A new wine bar restaurant is opening at the end of 2009 in a stunning converted building on the High Street. Further out of town in Llandrillo is Tyddyn Llan a restaurant with Rooms which offers fine dining and is open to non residents.
There are 2 very good butchers who will supply you with BBQ food, a couple of good cafes who will prepare packed lunches if needed. There are Spar and Somerfield supermarkets, a chemist, a good fish and chip restaurant and take away. There are cash machines at the HSBC and Barclays Banks.

Located in Bala High Street, the Plas yn Dre is a family run restaurant with a continental menu with a Welsh flavour using local produce. Booking is advised in advance on Fridays and Saturdays as the restaurant is very popular with locals.
Y Cwrt (the Court House)
Beautiful renovated building opened in 2010 with a busy bar and good restaurant. A good menu using local produce is changed daily. Situated in Bala High Street.
Pizzeria Express
Small restaurant with 30 places offering tasty pizza and pasta menu situated just off Bala High Street. Gets very busy at weekends.
Tyddyn Llan
Michelin Star restaurant 15 minutes drive from Bala. A Country Georgian House venue set in its own grounds. The restaurant uses local produce but also sources the finest ingredients further afield which is complimented with an award winning wine list. If you enjoy fine food, then this is a must visit restaurant.
